Link: The last word: He said he was leaving. She ignored him.
I’m not here to judge whether what Laura Munson did was right or wrong, but I admire her character for not giving up or caving in. Sometimes it’s easy to quit fighting before the fight is done. Sometime it’s easy to quit loving when the other person does. She stuck it out, and deserves praise for her maturity. I praise God for the grace he gave her in that moment and in those times to say and do right things.
Romans 12:20 – Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”
Wow, I can’t explain the effect reading this has had on me. Laura’s story was so sad but encouraging at the same time. I’m not married and nor have I ever been, but this brought tears to my eyes and made me cry. And yes, praise God for the grace He gave her.
It really is an incredible story. It’s sad because the relationship will carry a scar, but it is beautiful because it wasn’t broken. I want to have the type of emotional maturity she displayed.
