What will you talk to God about in your personal prayers? Everything! Your wants and needs, your happiness and sadness, your problems and fears, tell it all to God. He will never consider a single word or request a burden, no matter how long or how much you pray. {A Call to Stand Apart 41.2}
Certainly nothing is too great for Him to notice; remember, He sustains all the worlds of the universe. Nothing is too small for His interest and desire to help you. If it’s something of concern to you, it’s a concern to Him, too. {A Call to Stand Apart 41.3}
Luke 12:7 – But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
God really cares for us. He’s ready to listen to anything we have to say to Him. “God, I lost my keys again and need help finding them.” “God, help me get good gas mileage on this trip.” (A favorite of mine). “God, help me be diligent at work.” “God, I’m feeling lonely right now. Have you ever felt lonely?” (The answer to that is yes, by the way). “It’s a great day outside, God.” “God, please help me to say the right thing to this person.”
As for me right now, my knee hurts again after the 5k portion of the triathlon I did. I have no idea what’s wrong with it, and I was doing PT for it for a few weeks prior, and they didn’t have a diagnosis either. I have a number of races lined up this summer, and if my knee isn’t well, it jeopardizes them all, not least the Chicago marathon in October. God cares even for this. If it’s a concern for me, it’s a concern for Him. God is not too self-important to notice the little things that affect our daily lives. Let’s keep the communication lines to heaven humming with a continual prayer experience.
